ABOUT ME
Bespoke English is my passion project. As a fully qualified teacher of English language and literature with over fifteen years’ experience teaching in a range of settings including grammar schools and sixth form colleges, I have now decided to dedicate myself to one to one and small group tutoring offering a range of bespoke options from one to one face to face and online tutoring, to small group exam focused sessions and creative writing workshops.
A little bit more about me. I studied for my first degree in English Language and Literature at Leeds University before completing my master’s degree in Women’s Writing at the University of Liverpool. While working on my master’s I began working for The Reader Organisation initiating reading activities with children in care as well as running creative workshops for the Liverpool Reads campaign. So began my love of both teaching and working with young people and a PGCE at Liverpool Hope University followed.
After fifteen years teaching in educational settings, I am bringing my love of English into my home where you will always receive a warm welcome.
One to One
One to one GCSE and A Level English language and literature tuition. Available face to face and online.
Creative workshops
Creative writing and poetry workshops aimed at KS2 students including day time sessions aimed at home-schooled children. These are bookable in four week blocks.
Group Tuition
Small Group GCSE workshops. These are six week courses in groups so larger than five.
